The Riverside Gem Firefly Jetty Cafe
Firefly Jetty is a riverside café located in the southern mainland of Penang, Nibong Tebal. The strategic location is also a well-known spot for firefly watching. Unlike other cafés that only serve desserts and beverages, they provide a wide range of food to choose from, including pasta, chicken chops, rice dishes, localised Western food, and more. Offering an exciting experience to tourists, with its riverside view and food, it's a perfect place for family gatherings. After a year and a half of business, our clients were ready to revamp their café. We were responsible for rebranding, strategy, the food menu, and social media management.
According to the clients, they were inspired by Clarke Quay, Singapore, one of the attractive tourist places where all the trends meet for sharing and cheering together. This had impressed them to mimic the idea and start up a riverside café. From there, we found the brand voice: embrace the joy of friendship. Firefly Jetty Café is a space where friends and family gather to celebrate every moment of happiness.
Firefly Jetty Café used the firefly symbol in their previous logo, but we realised it didn't give in-depth meaning associated with their brand. So we proposed to start from scratch. Because of that, we discovered the friendship symbol and merged it with the alphabet "f," which stands for friends and family. We translated the visual identity into a distinctive, simple, decidedly modern design that embodies the brand essence of "Where Friends & Family Gather to Celebrate".
